In appreciation of good friends: I got to see my dearest friend today for the first time in nearly a month, and suddenly the world is a much brighter place.
Making new friends as an adult is WORK (in person or, say, on a brand-new-to-you social media platform) but so very worth the effort. #gratitude
@AnnTelope I totally hear you. I've got a ten year old. Making friends at 40 ain't a bike ride in the park!
@Geothinker 41 here, and with an almost-9 year old. I understand. It was taking my then-toddler to the park and watching all the other parents effortlessly socialize that pushed me into putting myself out there more. Thankfully he's turning out to be more naturally social than I am!
@AnnTelope That's so funny! Mine is a little girl and she is waaay more social than me too. But I love it, she inspires me to put myself out there more.
