Hello, #Mastodon! My brain fog from breast cancer surgery is beginning to lift...

A few years ago, I had the privilege of visiting the anatomical amphitheater at the University of Uppsala in Sweden while on tour with my book #TheButcheringArt - about the brutal world of Victorian surgery. This magnificent amphitheater was built in 1630, and was used for dissecting animals and humans. It was not used as an operating theater.
