Il y a cinq ans nous quittait la grande autrice Ursula le Guin. A l’époque je n’avais lu d’elle que le recueil de conférences « Le langage de la nuit » et je comptais lire toute son œuvre. Ce n’est qu’en 2022 que j’ai lu et adoré l’intégrale du cycle de Terremer. 2023 commence avec le cycle de Hain et le premier livre que j’en lis est les « Dépossédés ». Non seulement c’est totalement différent mais j’aime autant sinon plus que Terremer.

The three Asimov laws of robotics are not yet implemented but we now have the first two laws of AI assisted research papers:
“First, no LLM tool will be accepted as a credited author on a research paper. That is because any attribution of authorship carries with it accountability for the work, and AI tools cannot take such responsibility.
Second, researchers using LLM tools should document this use in the methods or acknowledgements sections.”

La première édition française des Éléments d'Euclide est parue en 1632, traduite et commentée par un certain Didier Henrion. La Bibliothèque nationale de France en a un exemplaire.
En plus du caractère unique de ce livre, il y a deux choses très touchantes sur cette page :
- Les mentions « imprimé de son vivant » (Henrion), mais vendu « par la veuve dudit Henrion » ;
- Et cette note manuscrite : « ma bonne maman me la (sic) donné 1632 ».
A Leptoglossus occidentalis (punaise américaine in French, western conifer seed bug in English). Originating from the USA, onside red invasive in the rest of the world. First observed in Europe in the NATO airport of Milano, northern Italy some 25 years ago, this bug first colonised Italy, then Slovenia, arrived in southern France in 2006 and in Paris a few years later.
Observed today in Paris, France.
