@BlueDouche @hogihung Even though I only served active duty for 4 years, ending in 1980 (I drilled in the Reserve for about 5 more years), I still tell people that serving in the military was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. It taught me the value of eliminating quitting as an option, and gave me self-confidence I didn't previously possess, setting me up for successes in my life afterward which I am convinced that I would not have otherwise achieved.
