@HCBunny Please ignore my message asking "what are you wearing?"

@ShellSheddy "you want people to make 3D?"

No. That is why I resist the idea of bans.

"Do you REALLY want gun issue to be addressed?"

Yes. I will not vote for anyone who doesn't openly advocate the CDC studying this issue as a matter of public health.

"Saying "bans don't matter" is not realistic..."

I don't think I have ever said that. I have said that they will have a negative impact on the problem by generating a highly profitable black market, and eliminating all accountability in the market. Bans matter. Just not in a good way.

@dell , Well, I think we can all see why. You failed to praise a single Nazi. Shame on you.

Republican groomers in Texas passed a bill requiring schools to display the Ten Commandments

They passed another bill requiring set prayer and Bible reading times during the school day

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social a federal judge just said that the federal government doesn't have the authority to approve a drug. Shouldn't this mean the federal government doesn't have the authority to outlaw a drug?

Wikipedia is now on Mastodon, at @wikipedia!

They've taken an interesting approach here, as it is an account run by the community, where everyone can contribute (explanation here: meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/@Wikip). At the same time, it is verified on the official homepage of wikipedia.org, as you can see in the screenshot.

Personally, I think this suits the spirit of the fediverse that the Wikipedia account is not a PR department, but community members building something together!

@cosmicallyf@universeodon.com Pollish invention.

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social if you are stopped for any reason, for anything by these guys, you have a reasonable fear for your life.

Act accordingly.

@ShellSheddy sure, we can do it now. For $1500 you can buy a computerized mill that will make roughly 2 lower receivers a day.

The reason most people don't do that, creating untraceable weapons, is because it's legal to go to a gun store, fill out some info about who you are, record the identification numbers to track the weapon, etc.

What the blowback will be is someone not waiting those 3 days, buying off the black market or building their own, and dropping the weapon on the scene of the crime. Or just dumping them outside someplace where other will pick them up and use them. Print out 50 of them and drop them in a known gang area. Or at a playground.

How can you not be afraid of this?

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social and they wonder why people shoot at them.

@lowqualityfacts yep, the longest running fart joke in corporate American history.

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social *blush*

Yes, yes I do like it...

@SaanichGuy @betty_ford @AmishSuperModel , not "white", the word is "conservative." Men who don't identify as conservatives do not seem to commit these crimes in the same numbers. Ethnicity doesn't seem to matter. Age does... it is mostly men under 30. I understand your point about one rule for all, and mostly agree with it. But, I think rational people can see when the rules should be applied unequally.

@ShellSheddy encouraging people to convert to 3D disposable weapons isn't a step forward. It's already easy enough to do this. We are on the verge of making it highly profitable to have a black market.

@Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social Christians target children...

@ashwin@kolektiva.social @Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social all it takes is one to not behave, and suddenly you have Kent State.

@ashwin@kolektiva.social @Radical_EgoCom@kolektiva.social excellent. Went and found a great photo of that:
