@Robotron@esoteric.party occasionally, maybe once a week, I check my old Twitter account for notifications. Most of the time, this happens when I click a link*. I am amazed at how foul that site is... I saw a woman attacked because she is immuno compromised and worried about the newest strain of COVID. I mean full out hate directed at her, over a disease that killed a million Americans, and a few million more just like her around the world. Why? What's the point??

@pleitter @Teri_Kanefield , not exactly the answer to my question. I am wondering if any potential collaboration with Smith is more... effective(?) if it is in federal court over state. Also, is this an attempt to get a rich guy country club federal prison over a Georgia state penn? I can sure seeing that as motivation for the venue move. But I also think that Meadows has cut a major deal with Smith, and a federal judge might be more easily convinced to dismiss state charges if that is the case?? Or am I totally off the mark?

@breadandcircuses I feel this way about many issues with government. That slow pace to Hell isn't any less final than a quick pace. It's like being a frog in heating water. And seeing all the other frogs saying "this is fine."

@not2b @flexghost , this is true. But they also create a polite society. If people understand that impolite acts can be their last, then the cost is worth it, when facing what is similar to Nazi Germany. I would happily arm every Jew, every Gypsy, every homosexual in 1930s Germany, even knowing that this would cause more deaths among those populations, due to self-inflicted violence.

@flexghost , this isn't popular in many circles, but when they started attacking trans rights, I advocated that every trans person buy a gun. I still advocate this. I advocate this for every minority. For every homeless person, for every woman, immigrant, etc. And I advocate banning guns in the hands of conservative men, or any government employee that is not highly trained. In other words, not beat cops.
