Seriously. In the market of academic thought, where students choose to take course in topics of interest, and faculty pursue research that generates real knowledge and societal impact, the cloaking of class essentialism as "individual rights and civic virtue" has failed. Students aren't interested. The research hasn't yielded anything beyond talking points for extreme wealth.

The "free market" has already decided. It lost, so what do we call the state imposing it by force?

Not "Free Market".

Nothing says “we believe in free markets” like billionaires and the state coming in to rescue an ideology that has done nothing but fail for decades.

Here is UT’s new right-wing “Civitas Institute”, which talks big about free speech and liberty while its backers are also prohibiting certain topics from being taught and at least one funder is openly bribing a Supreme Court justice.

It’s just so pathetic.
