I hate when this happens. With at least eight words that end with the four correctly-guessed letters, there's a good chance of not getting the first letter without using the third guess to eliminate most of them.

Sometimes having a great second-guess word really helps, as in this case

Ironic item of the day: my office is cluttered with books on how to declutter.

It's unfortunate that US citizens have to wait so long in the day before the fireworks begin. And it's all because we have to wait until it gets dark, which happens at 9:00pm or later. So here's a proposal to fix that:

A very easy Wordle this morning. This solution along with the one for Connections, which I solved in four guesses, took me less than 2 minutes, although I don't really time myself

I'm going through the Notion Getting Started videos while thinking that Org-mode can do that! Except, Emacs is not drag-n-drop, which, to me, is a good thing. So maybe I'll go through Org-mode tutorials instead.

@ai6yr It's a good time to vacuum the coils on your refrigerator so it doesn't have to work as hard.

@sacha To answer my "what was I doing / thinking" questions, I've been relying on web browser history. (I stopped living in Emacs when I went on my Sabbatical of Indeterminate Duration.) I do like org-capture -- I latched onto it early on. But nowadays, I rely on Org mostly for bill paying -- it does recurring deadlines very well, and the logging makes it easy to know if anything slipped through the cracks. Please keep sharing your workflows!

@AlSweigart Angela Yu uses Snake to demonstrate object-oriented programming with Turtle Graphics in Python. The other games she uses are Pong and Frogger. The course is "100 days of code: the complete python code bootcamp" on Udemy.

I wonder if the Wordle curator saw that I was bragging about how easy the puzzle is and so made it much harder

@freemo @LaD_Hallo The current elevated extinction rate is based only on the species we know about, isn't that right?

I usually guess the word in four tries, or maybe three or five times, but sometimes this happens

@michaelanckaert Not sure I'd want buffer content auto-updated if it's changed externally. I've done some idiotic things like redirect the output of a script to the script itself, for example! But thanks for the tip!
