@wtwagg I have had very little hardware issues on my computers. Linux handles hardware quite well these days.

My dream of System76 was lost when I found out that they are using standard devices from China and customizing them (there are other Linux hardware companies that have the same hardware).
I now have a dream of getting a Librem 13 from Purism. They are expensive, but it is a great purchase. They are extremely secure devices (down to the boot), and 100% freedom. They have hardware switches for the camera and microphone, as well as the wireless cards. They also disable the Intel Management Engine, which is a huge plus (except for the fact that they use a couple years old CPUs).
