Arguably one of most iconic paintings not painted by a member of the Group of Seven, The Blacksmith’s Shop (1871) was one of the last paintings Cornelius Krieghoff (1816-1872) would complete. @davidakin I was into collecting Canadian stamps in my early teens. I learned a lot about art, history, and politics just by being curious about the subject matter depicted! I remember this stamp very well.
