@eleanorkonik Sometimes the thing to do is go to and emergency room and try to be admitted to an inpatient facility. Especially if there is suicidal ideation.
@eleanorkonik wishing you the best and kudos for seeking help and quiting the job. Very brave. Sending virtual hugs from Canada and let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

@eleanorkonik If you ever think it would help to rant at someone, please let me know. Thinking of you! Hang in there!

@nicole @eleanorkonik yes, press the pause button if possible. I've been there myself some years ago, and I know there is a way back - but one needs to be kind to oneself and let it take some time

@eleanorkonik teacher burnout is so real. I remember thinking I’d reach 4th grade forever.

@Ziahassan I love teaching.
But so much has changed about this job and I can't keep doing this.
mental health
@eleanorkonik well, you have many talents and passions to follow

@eleanorkonik 💜 glad you found a way forward. Best wishes.

@eleanorkonik I'm also leaving my job due to mental health issues. Um... Hooray?
mental health
@death_au I believe in us!

@Middleway I found emergency care, she basically offered me a choice between impatient care or quitting my job, and I'm just going to quit my job.
The teaching burnout is real and I don't think a short break will help. The system in my district is untenable. My problem is in brain chemistry, my problem is the reality of my situation :p The good news is, it's solvable, and I'll keep up appointments for the next little while until things settle.
💜 Thanks for caring
