It's shocking how peaceful this place is! It takes a bit of getting used to, but man, my emotional state is that of a far calmer individual now.
#twitter has a steady stream of abusive maniacs (and bots) who will find a way to ruin your peace. I mean I once posted about how much I liked Alphonso mangoes and there was a full fledged mango argument in my comments. (I know you're referring to fascists, but I'm saying you can't like mangoes in peace on the bird site). Absolutely demented.

@NehaKhazanchi no no, we both agree that fascists need to be kept away, it's just that most of the examples I've seen so far have not been that, they've been "mastodon.social is too big and we wanted smaller communities so we're defederating from you". People aren't even mentioning the moderation issues anymore.
