@NehaKhazanchi indeed. I think it will get a lot more toxic, I also think it's going to go bankrupt because the only think keeping it from doing that is Musk subsidizing it; advertisers won't fund it and users won't pay...so I'm staying there out of spite, to tweak the MAGAs...meanwhile I'm on lots of other services like this one. 😀

@NehaKhazanchi So... Billionaire Manchild comes in, creates a caustic environment, causing an outpour of normal people and leaving a far higher concentration of active abrasive users, then asks them if they feel the need to be validated, and then reads the results as just any normal poll...

Firstly I don't see too many companies wanting to advertise on the platform, unless something changes drastically in the future.
Secondly, I don't see too many people willing to part with $8 a month just for a blue tick on a platform with that much toxicity.

@NehaKhazanchi I can see that the goal is to generate content and views on Twitter by any means. The best option for people is to silently quit from there and not feel tempted to start a fight.

Mastodon still an overwhelmingly white space, and even if a lot of admins are well meaning it doesn't mean that they understand structural racism and the like.
@NehaKhazanchi its a toxic zoo over there There's no way, as a corporate executive, that I could sanction adspend on that platform, none - the potential for PR accident nightmares is too high.

1) he's doing it intentionally because he didn't like twitter's politics
2) he just really is this incompetent
