Light Through Trees
Simple scenes: this pattern of tree trunks caught my eye, with the bright sunlight streaming through behind them, as I was walking along the main path through the woods.
Given the hard contrast of the scene, I thought I'd experiment with a recently acquired vari-ND/Pro-Mist combi filter.

About halfway through the trip we took a drive to Lake Louise, a strip mall about an hour west of Canmore. My plan since before the trip had always been to climb to the Fairview Mountain lookoff (a short hike, but a relatively steep one, at least for an out of shape lowlander like me). At the base of the mountain, workers were burning logs and deadfall. Wildfire prevention. This is what I saw when I looked up.
