I'm not being alarmist. I'm telling the truth. It is a daily nightmare trying to find an available hospital bed for kids in London right now. This is what govt negligence looks like.

This is what happened to home insulation installation rates in 2013 after David Cameron promised to 'roll back the green charges' on energy. The charges had funded insulation schemes. Click here for a 3 min explainer on what's happened since. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-63816641

Consider what France accomplished in a decade with very little material inputs--and the same power plants are Europe's backbone today! Zero: Windmills. Solar Panels. Batteries. Heat Pumps. Smart Meters.

I've spent so long trying to fully understand what Bitcoin mining actually entails. It's a very mathematical, technical, mind numbingly complicated process. It's easy to get bogged down in the details and give up trying to understand. All you need to know is a simple summary.
Imagine the electricity used when hundreds of thousands of computer geeks turn on really powerful computers, and then never switch them off again. That's Bitcoin mining.

The irony inherent to many vaccines is that they are so effective some people have forgotten how bad the diseases they prevent are and have decided they don't need to be vaccinated against them.

Mellow and yellow! Autumnal scenes from Barnes's Grove, Buckinghamshire.
My heart aches for the good people of #Vilniansk and for little two-day-old Serhii's grieving parents and family.
The senselessness and barbarity of #Ruschism is perfectly visible in #Ruschists' purposeful bombing of a hospital last week.
I spoke many times to the elected head of Vilniansk during the pandemic - I know how much the community invested into its now senselessly bombed hospital.

@mammutsapiens We have a government that is now acting outside the bounds of traditional political norms. That is for the last twenty years. They are reverting to something truly horrifying. It is important that we collectively call out this language for what it is . We need political solutions not this stance which is frankly fascistic.

Twitter is no longer enforcing its Covid-19 misinformation policy, per this message on its transparency site https://transparency.twitter.com/en/reports/covid19.html
"The typical incomes of the poorest fifth of the UK population were almost no higher on the eve of the pandemic than they were in 2004-05. The poorest fifth of households in Britain are more than 20 per cent poorer than their French and German equivalents. The country’s problems with a threadbare safety net have been laid bare by the crisis, but they weren’t created by it.

I'd just like to register my concern at the use of Yandex for translation in mastalab.
Yandex is heavily implicated in the misuse of facebook data, as well as other non-consensual datamining.
There also seems to be a clear link between yandex and Russian cyber-espionage.
Kevin Brennan - How has brexit affected consumers?
Martin Lewis - There are many consumer protections, that were put in place by the European Union, that need to be continued in this country or people won't be protected...
