#Linux 6.3-rc6 kernel is now available for public testing at https://kernel.org and Linus Torvalds says that "things continue to look pretty regular."
@omnipotens thanks for your answer.
No, I'm not specially worried about data integrity as I usually try to keep copies of my stuff on at least two other places.
I'll stay on LVM then
@warper depends on your needs. ZFS will can help prevent data loss but it comes at a cost. LVM and zfs are two completely different things. Me personally unless your running something like freebsd I would stay clear of zfs as on Linux it's pretty much just hacked together to work. I would opt for a software or hardware raid I'd your worried about data integrity.
Tomorrow we'll lose our blue checkmark on #Twitter. We don't think spending charitable donations on the new Twitter "verification" is worth it! Nothing is verified, anyone can buy it. In addition to this, unpaid accounts are going to be penalized in the algorithm, with serious concerns regarding access to information.
If you haven't yet, please inform your friends about #Mastodon !

I complained in the past that manipulating PDF documents on #Linux sucked. The default tools are basic viewers, but lack any modification capability, so I decided to look into tools that help you actually work with PDF documents.
Here are the best PDF tools for #Linux, to views, edit, merge, split, create, annotate, do OCR and more! Most are #OpenSource, but there are some gaps that commercial, proprietary solutions can fill as well:
#50YearsAgo today at 9:11 PM EST, Pioneer 11 launched from @NASAKennedy. The first spacecraft to study Saturn up close, it is one of five NASA spacecraft on a trajectory out of the solar system and carries a pictorial plaque about where it came from.

Because of how long it takes distant light to reach Hubble, this double quasar no longer exists.
Over the past 10 billion years, their host galaxies have likely settled into an elliptical galaxy, and the quasars have merged to become a supermassive black hole at its center.

Without notice, Google recently rolled out a 5-million file limit on Google Drive users, even if they didn't use up all their available disk space. The move was unsurprisingly not popular. Now Google has removed the cap. https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2023/04/google-drive-cancels-its-surprise-file-cap-promises-to-communicate-better/
