What translation function - I didn't know Mastodon had such a thing!
@Paulos_the_fog @caiocgo I think it was introduced with mastodon 4.0, 4.1 or 4.2 I forgot, but it starts with numbers 4. On 4.2. I know for sure that it was available.
You can set it easily on the .env.production file.
Just add the API and what plan you are on.

Hope it helps
@Paulos_the_fog @caiocgo wait, are you the administrator or at least have access to the terminal on your Mastodon?
If you are, you can access it via the SSH.
The env.production file is a file containing information on the Mastodon configurations are stored.
If you don't have access, you can move to other instances, move between instance is easy in ActivityPub.
But please ensure that the instance has translation features, before moving out since it will take time.
I think we must be talking at cross-purposes! I am not admin of a Mastodon instance, I'm just a wally user on qoto.org.
By the way you are talking, I assume you think I am some sort of admin or that I run an instance.
You might as well be talking in Egyptian Hieroglyphs for all what you are saying means to me!
@Paulos_the_fog I know, I just want to let you know what the mastodon is planning in the future or at least what brews now from the point of view of someone who is running their own mastodon server.
Running your own mastodon is not that hard. I was running Anakmanis from my homelab with an old PC.
Who knows, you will interested in running your own Masstodon if I give you enough information
So sorry if I have disturbed you ![]()
@Paulos_the_fog For Mastodon, currently there are two options if you want more character. You can edit it manually or use the Mastodon glitch fork. The admin can set it to whatever character they want.
But it seems in the near future, the normal mastodon can have that feature too. The admin can easily change the characters in .env.production.
