Yay. It's tinnitus week. My constant companion that came as a free added extra with my meniere's. Much empathy for fellow tinnitus sufferers. #tinnitus

I get it mildly, as a free gift with a T2 Diabetes medication I take. A very high pitched singing noise; about 9 - 10 KHz, I would say. Only mildly irritating and only very rarely really intrusive
In fact there is no shortage of medications that can provoke tinnitus including some of the most commonly taken NSAIDS and pain killers like paracetamol, Ibuprofen and aspirin.
I take Jardiance (empagliflozin) for T2D at 10mg a day - that's the one that causes tinnitus for me. My endocrinologist increased the dose to 25mg a day but when I started taking the higher dose, the tinnitus became unbearable so I dropped back to the former 10mg a day dosing.
Yeah - it's quite a list, isn't it!
@Paulos_the_fog I was aware of medications that can trigger temporary tinnitus and probable causation with sudafed but insane how many meds are linked now. Thanks for that info.
