@ianbetteridge True story: I first encountered chips pizza while skiing in Italy in the early 2000s. I asked the person at the counter what it was and they said "it's an English thing".
@karlstanley @ianbetteridge I had a terrific “pizza inglese” in Siracusa once: full English breakfast on pizza (but inexplicably they substituted peas for beans)
