Given that British nurses are paid a miserable pittance compared to most of it's near neighbours, it seems likely that most nurses recruited will come from 3rd world countries where there is already a shortage of nurses thus depriving poorer countries of the nursing staff they so desperately need.

I wouldn't expect the filthy tory scum to even consider that aspect of their policies; they are far too selfish!

@Paulos_the_fog the international nature of Streeting's comments were like a breath of fresh air

@Geri @Paulos_the_fog If we retained our own medical staff (migration to Australia and Canada) we wouldn't deprive other countries of so many of their medical staff (although we have relied on immigration for the NHS since its foundation).
