Atheist; loathe almost all religions and pity the people deluded enough to follow them. I make exceptions for Buddhism as it isn't really a religion in the strictest sense of the word as it doesn't postulate the existence of any god, and Jainism which is the epitome of peace.
For anyone who is interested, my header photo is of the most stupendous sunset I have ever seen. On the right is the waterfront of Vientiane, the capital of Laos, on the left is Thailand and in the middle, acting as the border between the two countries is the mighty Mekong river.

All we need now is for the USA to suffer a massive natural disaster - earthquake, volcanic eruption, a hurricane of unprecedented force something of that sort!
I was watching a video made by an American woman married to German who was astonished to find that life in Germany is far better than in the USA.
She was frightened that the healthcare wouldn't be up to US standards - she found it was better in Germany! She was entitled to 20 days of fully paid vacation along with all public holidays (as are all employees in the EU), sick pay and loads of other advantages that most Americans never see in their entire career!
The average US citizen is completely ignorant of the way of life in any other country and therefore sucks in all the bullshit about how the USA is the greatest country on earth. The USA is a great country if you are rich and prepared to exploit the poor but for everyone else, is a fuckin hell-hole!

Loose leaf tea is impossible to buy over here in Luxembourg unless I make a special trip into the capital city where there is a specialized tea and coffee shop, to buy some! Thus, I ordered some from an Indian supplier on amazon.de.
The absolute best tea I have ever tasted in my life was from a tea merchant in Ootacamund (now renamed Udhagamandalam but known to everyone as Ooty) in the Nilgiri hills in southern India - a significant tea growing area. It was a leaf tea grown on the slopes of the Nilgiri hills and was in a totally different class as compared to the standard off the shelf teabag in the UK/Europe! It was absolute nectar.
What is sold in teabags in Europe generally, is the pretty much the lowest grade of tea available: 'dust', with a little very small leaf mixed in - appalling stuff!
Being a Brit and thus literally weaned on tea (in my childhood home it was always Typhoo leaf tea), I am saddened by the teabag take-over. Yes OK, they are much more convenient but they taste of absolutely SFA!

Fortunately there's now a wide range of biodegradable teabags available. Even better, buy loose leaf-tea and brew it in a teapot. This is not a new technology.
