Why are outdated racial classifications still used in science? I just read a study with "caucasian volunteers". Is this still common practice? #science

@ecological_fallacy A little narrower than all science, but we have a few reviews on this topic. Stuff like that seems to still be pretty common

@PausalZ In my previous area of research, that wasn't really an issue either. But since I'm setting myself up a little differently here, I was really surprised to still find such expressions. But it's nice that something is happening here. It is shocking that the systematic review comes to such a conclusion: "Authors rarely made clear delineations between race and ethnicity, often adopting an ethnoracial construct."
