In 2020, 136,000 people voted on the first day of early voting in Georgia, US.

This year it is 328,000 — an increase of 241 percent.

Georgia is an important election battleground because the winner gets all 16 electoral college votes and the state was won by Trump in 2016, and Biden in 2020, making it a clear swing state.

Georgia was also the state where Trump attempted to get Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find 11,780 votes".

One could hope the Georgians have had enough of that.
