@andrewdessler I think it's very important to make it clear why this process won't work.
Science works because anyone can create a theory. It has to make some predictions and explain phenomena. Then these predictions and explanations are tested against independent measurements.
If measurements agree with predictions then the theory is not wrong. And you continue to test and perfect the theory as long as it is consistent with the data. It is binary: predictions are consistent with measurements or the are not.
So there is no need for the red team- experimental measured data is the only red team that is relevant to the discussion.
