@freddylove IMHO #privacy, or lack of it, will be the most determining factor of our futures. Both as individuals and as a society.
Small ex: Former Military #Psyop specialists work with our data at corporations/political action groups to manipulate our every emotion/politics online.

I see a world coming where our #SocialMedia pics are used to create #deepfakes of *us* & ex: used for #blackmail. Privacy is so vital IMHO

I like to think of privacy and security as complete package with three different layers.
Level 1, criminals: If you make the wrong compromises in this level, criminals will take whatever they can from you. Get started by making sure everything is updated and you understand what you're clicking on the web.
Level 2, normal people: If you make the wrong compromises, your friends, relatives and other people will know things about you that you didn't want to tell them about. If you don't use social media, this isn't really a concern for you. If do, make sure you understand that when you are posting something, you are standing on the stage with millions of people looking at you.
Level 3, computers: This is the hardest level, because Google, Amazon and Facebook are tracking nearly everything on the web these days. You can easily reduce this a fair bit, but those tricks are outside the scope of this post. Reducing it greatly requires some serious dedication and pretty harsh compromises most people aren't willing to do. Completely eliminating all tracking is something I don't think is even possible any more in this day an age. if you know of a method other than going completely offline and living in a cabin off the grid in the mountains, please let me know.
