@dredmorbius EFF the eff. Its corrupt son
@bob @dredmorbius @QuantumHemp #Efail was a storm in a teacup. I was disappointed to see a lot of people who normally say sensible things about security getting over-excited about it.
@strypey @bob @dredmorbius @QuantumHemp
Say you know the founder of EFF was involved with Dick Cheney and the LSD pentagon army cia connection? I see the EFF as being a fail from the beginning. Although i agree with their criticism of corporates, theyve been coopted like theintercept.... the FSF.org and the LibreJS, no DRM movement is a bit more militant and deserves praise. #efffail
@Tlacaelel @bob @dredmorbius @QuantumHemp
> the founder of EFF was involved with Dick Cheney
This sounds like FUD. Citation please?
> theyve been coopted like theintercept.... the FSF.org and the LibreJS
In what way has the FSF been coopted, and by whom? What's your beef with LibreJS?
> no DRM movement is a bit more militant and deserves praise
AFAIK the movement against DRM is being coordinated mostly by the FSF. #DefectiveByDesign is one of their campaigns.
At this point you're either high or trolling.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Perry_Barlow he campaigns with republican Cheney. Its fact. Also i hate the grapefruit bread jamband lsd burning ass crowd. Hes a cyber libertarian. Eff that noise son.
The FSF is a better org. Now go do something useful. No more replies until you are actually doing something useful - 1/2
@Tlacaelel
From the Spitfire.com link:
> The broadcast underscores the possibility that LSD and other hallucinogens may have been disseminated, in part, in order to diffuse the progressive political activism of the 1960’s.
Ooooookay. This guy is tripping. Nobody who has ever taken acid or any other entheogen would say something like this. It's unsubstantiated paranoia.
@Tlacaelel @bob @dredmorbius
From the Wikipedia link you provided:
> Barlow subsequently renounced Cheney prior to his Vice Presidency, owing to his perceived repudiation of environmental and civil-rights issues in Congress. Barlow opined that "Dick's votes… were parts of complex deals aimed at enhancing his own power… [H]e has the least interest in human beings of anyone I have ever met."
Jp barlow wrote the quote below....
@Tlacaelel @dredmorbius ok, so without further context, all this tells me is that Barlow has read something Cheney wrote, and is summarizing his conclusions. That doesn't mean he even agrees with those conclusions, let alone that he's buddies with Dick. Can you provide a link to the source of this quote?
@Tlacaelel That's a very selective decontextualised quote and apparently the best thing you have here, and it's very weak-sauce support of your claims.

@QuantumHemp @dredmorbius I've noticed a few people saying bad things about the EFF recently. Why?
