You know, because clearly all the other countries amazon operates in would see a move in leadership from "Jeff Bezos sentient monopoly man statue" to "the country that keeps extorting us and extra-judicially killing and kidnapping our citizens" as trading up right? I guess if the USA is finally no longer as much of a terrible corrupt hellhole then maybe the freedom will trickle down?
@QuantumHemp Nationalisation of industries that already act like state entities (because it turns out some things are done cheaper in a single hierarchy with no possible market competition) Is a worthy topic for discussion. Apply it to most USA corporate interests though? (as is happening in a theoretical, but not science fiction, context with amazon) You need to ask who actually controls what and why it's an improvement for the rest of the world.
