***Memento Mori: "Remember you must die"***

In Meditations, Marcus Aurelius wrote “You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do and say and think.” That was a personal reminder to continue living a life of virtue NOW, and not wait.

Meditating on your mortality daily allows you to remember to focus and do whats important and not of that which is meaningless in life

@STORM This is precisely what I am trying to focus on. I am further motivated by what Seneca said, "Aren't you ashamed to reserve for yourself only the remnants of your life and to dedicate to wisdom only that time can't be directed to business?"

I practice Stoicism in solitude since no one in my life appreciates philosophy, so it's good to see fellow Stoics here on Mastodon.

@jccpalmer Oh that's a great quote by Seneca. Marcus Aurelius, Epictetus & Seneca so far seem to be my favourite stoics. I'm a bit new to stoicism and only recently got into it. I just started reading Meditations & listening to the daily stoic podcast
