I personably find that the content warning on mastodon for slightly off topic posts is as distracting if not more distracting than just seeing the post. I feel it leads to avoidable decision fatigue

@jocelynpoissant I'm confused about how this works. Are people posting electing for so many of their post to have content warning labels? Or is this automatically done? I guess I need to play around with posting more.

@smwadgymar @jocelynpoissant yes it's a decision of the poster. The good thing is that CW gives you agency and forces you to ask yourself "how is a diverse community going to perceive my post? is there any way it is going to hurt someone?"
