Jakarta is sinking. Interesting article but it ends with this penultimate paragraph :
“The message here is that technology can't get us out of this,” Kiparsky adds. “You need something more difficult—you need institutional solutions, you need political will to do something radical.”
The rejection of innovation, invention, and science in favor of centralized authority seems to be a disturbing pattern when discussing big issues lately.
