Twitter has seemed to be a dumpster fire for a long time, highlighting the worst in how people relate to each other. Will those leaving Twitter for the fediverse stick it out here? Will they bring the worst of Twitter with them?

There are ways to interact here that don't create the same relational trash heap that Twitter often felt like to me. I've had cordial interactions with people across the spectrum here. Looking forward to connecting with new joins and hoping for the best.

@SecondJon I joined a few hours ago, and can confidently say I’ve interacted with more people on this platform than I have on Twitter since I joined in 2018. Something about seeking out the things that interest me persuades me to be a part of the conversation…

Not sure what lies ahead in the inevitable wake of Twitter, but it’s always good to get exposed to new experiences!
