@Salaru yes, Google will decide what's right for your child, and it's the same they decided for every other child. Full access to the gates of hell that is unfiltered internet access. You can't limit or monitor the activity of your minors once Google does that. Google will monitor and manage what they access, but won't let you.
step 1: don't tell Google your kids actual birthdays. Protect their PII.
step 2: choose an independent service for parental controls. I'm a month or two into using qustodio, there's others out there as well.
Google has no respect for parents rights and responsibilities.
