👋 Hi everyone! After 6 years at United Nations University (UNU) Institute in Macau, my time will come to an end in March 2026. I’m seeking a new role and would appreciate your support.

Transitions are never easy. They often involve decisions beyond our control. Yet, I remain optimistic, driven by curiosity, and highly motivated to embrace new challenges.

I’m excited to explore new topics and take on versatile, demanding tasks in a dynamic and friendly environment. Looking back, I’m proud of the many milestones achieved alongside my team (current and former staff) and incredible colleagues across the whole UNU system. We had a great run serving UN 🇺🇳 values and trying to have an impact with our research on the achievement of the SDGs.

🚨 If you know of any opportunities that align with my profile, I’d love to hear from you. I’m also happy to reconnect and share my CV if you’d like to learn more.

About me and what I'm looking for:
🐜 I'm a responsible Computer Scientist, working on Complex Systems Modelling and Artificial Intelligence to Leave No One behind.
🧩 Looking for roles that combine research, strategy and impact, whether in academia, international organizations or the private sector.
🚀 Eager to contribute at the interface of Artificial Intelligence, social simulation (AI agents), sustainability and policy-making, where technology meets human values and global challenges.
💡 Committed to teaching and mentoring, and enthusiastic about sharing knowledge in interdisciplinary and international settings.
💪 Advocate for open source, open science, and open access, believing that transparency and collaboration are key to inclusive and impactful research

🌱 Let’s connect through the rhizomatic network, a space of shared curiosity, mutual learning, and unexpected collaborations.

During the Open Source Week in New York, someone mistook me for a famous French hacktivist @bzg He is still using emacs for his presentation 🤗

Excellent example on the way LLMs works. During chess openings, they play coherently as these openings are available on the Internet, then later they produce garbage and hallucinations as they have no idea on how to play chess. They just play based following probability distribution.

Editorial by Nature [1] on the #OpenLetter to combat global #inequality to the #UN secretary general and #WorldBank president (equalshope.org/index.php/2023/ )

From the open letter:

"We are living through a time of extraordinarily high economic inequality. Extreme #poverty and extreme wealth have risen sharply and simultaneously for the first time in 25 years. Between 2019 and 2020, global inequality grew more rapidly than at any time since #WW2."

Our Institute in Macau is the first among United Nations University Institutes to move to the new UNU website: unu.edu/macau
Soon more update information on our research activities.

Cormas v0.6 is out 🥳
