Folks are understandably upset about losing their followers on the birb site, especially if they’ve already built up a following and need it for work, but that’s the way centralized things work: you don’t have any control.

I like going where the tinkerers are. Maybe journalists and writers come over next and hopefully it’ll get easier for them. But expecting a 1 to 1 replacement for the birb site isn’t realistic.
