Austrian merchant, amateur astronomer and selenographer Rudolf König died #OTD in 1927.

Such was his interest in astronomy that in 1906 he built a private observatory on top of his house in Vienna, equipping it with a double Zeiss astrograph with which he carried out many observations of the Moon. In 1912 he published a volume of illustrations of the Moon made by his deceased friend, the draftsman and selenographer Johann Nepomuk Krieger. via Soc. History of Astronomy
