Austrian merchant, amateur astronomer and selenographer Rudolf König died #OTD in 1927.
Such was his interest in astronomy that in 1906 he built a private observatory on top of his house in Vienna, equipping it with a double Zeiss astrograph with which he carried out many observations of the Moon.
