@Annasaur @steveumstead The onus should *always* be on the company developing a safety-critical system for consumers to *at least* provide crystal-clear instructions and cues to consumers of their product's limitations.
The product name of "Full Self-Driving" is immediately and terminally problematic.
Tesla knows exactly what it is doing with that name and Tesla is acting in Bad Faith.
It is not a side issue.
The safety of automated system depends on *subconscious* mental models after all.

Any moment now, as Christmas and (American) Thanksgiving get closer, people will start posting suggestions of things to donate to food banks and 'Reverse Advent Calendars'.
I can't stress this enough:
Just. Give. Money.
Food banks can usually get more bang for their buck than you can.
They'll probably be able to give you a tax receipt for money, but not for cans.
And it lets them buy, store, and distribute food in the volumes they need and can handle.

Ok i see. So the only way to know whether I'm just searching wrong or if I can't follow an account because people I don't even know have beef is to waste a bunch of time fighting the search bar.
This does not feel like a feature. I think it's past my bedtime.

@freemo @nature_jcp so that's weird because that user is not a she. It's one of Joe Window's accounts he's moving from Twitter
@nature_jcp I don't see how that would make it impossible to even request to follow. I can't even find them in search and this happens with several accounts, so it has to be an issue with the search function being really specific as to formatting (and therefore I can't manage to get it right).

I followed their link from Twitter and tried to follow, but it said I needed to input my own name@server and it kept saying I was doing it wrong. It always does no matter what account I'm trying to follow, never works. If I try to search the user name from qoto search bar it simply doesn't turn up. Zero results for the phrase "star trek" which seems impossible. But search is aggravating in it's own way so I'm not sure if it's an account issue or I'm formulating the search terms wrong.
Continuously frustrated at how hard it is just to follow an account here. I've spent the last ten minutes trying to follow a particular account and it just won't work. 😠
