Tried the latest version of the #GNOME #Crosswords app today, and it finally lets me pre-select a bunch of English cryptic crosswords #puzzles, even though my dad's #Fedora #Linux computer is in French.
It should be a much better experience than noisy and buggy websites.
I trust father will be pleased with this.

Thank you @blandford for making me look like a good son on #fathersday 🧐️

I'm in this month's 1Across, with a puzzle I expect the setter Alf doesn't know he inspired.

Ooh, someone owes me money, cool. Going to go wild and buy a few second-hand books.

@skirwingle @archelina Yeah, fair. "Early C20th", & tho' only "chiefly" Am/Aus, an indic might've helped. But I liked the short surface! :-)

@TheVoidTLMB ^Sample clue:
Perfect cowboy nickname: "Shot Bot Jake" (8)
No spoilers here, please.

Sometimes there's a theme, either i. in* the clues, ii. in* the answers, iii. a mix of both, or iv. between the answers.

Sneaky declaration denying Aus their third bowling point, there. ^_^

Tammy Beaumont brings up her double century, off 238 balls (31x4, 1x6).

Can't say for intra-squad games etc with no published scores, but according to the available records on Cricket Archive, across full internationals, tour matches and official warm-up games, Beaumont is the first woman to score a double century when representing England.
