Musk has at this point shown that he has zero interest in preventing real harm coming to real people and zero hesitation to cause it himself to anyone who doesn't speak or act in a way that serves his interests.
Whether he's doing it to "rile up the left", or for engagement, or out of vindictiveness isn't as relevant as the damage he's in a position to cause, which is especially concerning given how he continues to target marginalised people.

Reading @profbriancox and Jeff Forshaw's book on back holes - super interesting + helpful explanations and easy to read. Of course that doesn't mean quick to read... lots of breaks required to think and ponder.
Still haven't got an intuitive feel for why light travels at the same speed, no matter how fast/slow the observer is travelling. Counter-intuitive for sure. Surely this suggests that we are missing an understanding of a key fundamental aspect of the way our universe operates? Or is it just not the case that all phenomena are intuitive (obvious) once we gain an understanding? Am I expecting too much? I should just keep reading...

You might have seen somebody using the proverb Vox Populi, Vox Dei. What was missing was the context in which it was used:
Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.

And those people should not be listened to who keep saying the voice of the people is the voice of God since the riotousness of the crowd is always very close to madness.

Hello!
Spends most days teaching Biology related units (environmental science, aquatic ecology, cell biology, human biology, anatomy & physiology etc etc). Love reading and learning about physics to relax.
