To the best of my knowledge, we have never seen a failed UBI program.

There's a lot of "logic" that opposes UBI. But, actual data? All of our actual data says, "Damn, this works."

I am a computer geek, and I work in a trade that is *full* of *brilliant* logic, syllogism piled on syllogism piled on syllogism, staggeringly obvious conclusions, all based on horrifically flawed premises.

The fact is, people who are on the edge spend virtually *all* of their time staving off collapse.

They have no time to stop and think. None. Give them that breathing room, and they quickly become more like they wish they were, and more like we need them to be.

The logic is trash-logic.

@GeePawHill Absolutely. So many of our public policy positions fly in the face of data on what works just because politicians (and sometimes people at large) have some ideological problem with it.

@VoxDei @GeePawHill So many of our societal issues have obvious solutions which demonstrably work and are good for everyone, but are eschewed solely for ideological reasons
