People who say they are afraid of Mastodon not feeding their ADHD right have no idea what sitting in front of the federated feed feels like.
@War_Kittens Right? I see all these people talking about things being slow and chill here, and I'm like 'what??"
@War_Kittens nodding along while I read this on my federated timeline.
@War_Kittens GOD I KNOW. MY ADHD IS SO HAPPY WITH ME AND THAT IS RARE.
@War_Kittens I figured out how to slow it down.
@HemeOnc @War_Kittens how? It gave me a headache yesterday. I had barely any time to find three words in a post. If I was interested I ctrl + F the words I remembered from the post. 😂
@Blue_Jay @War_Kittens under account services-> preferences-> slow mode.
@War_Kittens Why would people want that? I don't want a website designed to feed into my ADHD, I want somewhere to connect with people who have shared interests. I've wasted so much time on Twitter since I started seriously using it in 2020. The writing community I'm part of is great but most large social media sites are so unhealthy for me.
Some of us need that kind of engagement or we look elsewhere. Different kinds of minds.
I'm 46 so it's not a Millennial / Gen Z thing. I need music on, something to read, Twitter or Discord on another device, maybe even a game going, too.
@War_Kittens *EXACTLY* 😂
