High performance, large-scale multi-compartment Hodgkin-Huxley simulation of Drosophila’s whole-brain neural circuit model
@debivort A cursory look suggests a simulation to showcase a fast computer. My a priori bias is that the fly brain #Drosophila hasn’t been fully mapped yet, so the title may be overclaiming. Will read in detail soon, it’s relevant to the project of one of our lab members.

@albertcardona @debivort The line “There are no studies conducted on the number of synapses in the whole brain of Drosophila, but there are several studies that estimated the number of synapses in particular areas of the Drosophila brain” does not give one much hope.
