The world needs to wake up to the fact that capitalism will not create the tech needed to save us from the 6th great extinction. Simply because it is not profitable.
Solar: no interest because they lose money if we make the panels more effective
Nuclear: way to high initial cost, need to be massively subsidized to get the reactors built
Wind: favorite hate object of big oil/coal
Wave: Bad PR
