@jeff what CI stack have you found the easiest to work with?

@Trott any chance to know what the server is? Still getting the hang of this place and I'd like to understand how community moderation works here.

Random aside but in general this place feels much cozier and easier to strike up random conversations.

@sarah_pederzani well human adaptation to our current climate change is about the highest in my list for human concerns so whatever can be drawn up from the past that can be applied to present situations is fascinating.

This place reminds me of the good parts of Slashdot from the early 2000s.

Interesting people, nerdy vibe, slightly unsexy jank that keeps things casual, no professional community managers trying to boost clickbaity garbage. I wonder how long the good times will last.

@ernie it's got reall old school Slashdot vibes, in a good way, minus the trolls.

Doing my own here.

I'm a software engineer who's been doing this for the past 20 years in some form of another.

I have a huge number of interests. Currently focused on cooking, chess, "humane computing", lifting, and philosophy.

I designed my own Jamaican Sound system, currently looking for gigs in Buenos Aires. Love all things related to audio and signal processing.

I'm sadly not an academic but I loving posting random interesting things in whatever strikes my fancy.

@sarah_pederzani welcome! Your area of research is super interesting. Is there some good reading for us non-experts on the topic?

@katieleap Good luck with the dissertation! Please post a brief summary for those with basic lay knowledge once it's complete.
