I'm by no means an expert on RISC-V genealogy, maybe @lupyuen or @vertigo is and can correct me, but my impression from WP and elsewhere is that RISC-I to RISC-II was an upgrade, but the designs after that were pretty much inspired by but not based on previous work and that's how RISC-V can be liberally licensed -- it's a spiritual descendant, not a version.

Found this cool PDF, where page 3 has a table of all the core RISC-V instructions and their equivalents in key RISC-I-inspired designs from the previous 30 years (and a mainframe from the 60s):

My suggestion is to you start with something simple to get accustomed to the UI and the process. A common mistake many beginners make is to try to start with a complex project. It's easy to get frustrated and to lose motivation.

Do you have prior CAD experience? Sometimes, people with none seem to misevaluate the difficulty in modeling their projects. With CAD, some things that may appear easy to do aren't. Or are, but to experienced users.

Looking at it up close, the design of the Aeromotor turbine looks very involved, but the geometry of each blade isn't that complex. The hardest part is assembly

This can be done today with all recycled parts. The hub can actually be an old bicycle wheel, while the outer band can be a bent strap. It just has to balance evenly

They're called "windmills", but technically, they're turbines with a pump. Don't think they were used for milling
