I understand that Mastodon isn’t—and doesn’t want to be—exactly like Twitter.

Most of us exist in bubbles on Twitter, and I suppose Mastodon reinforces that. But the advantage of a centralized platform is that bubbles overlap by default, and that’s what makes this place fun.

Interesting perspective. Here the bubbles are more complex. Think of twitter as one 'instance' in this universe, only 'disconnected' or rather quasi -federated as of now (not quite, because with its API it is possible to set up bridges).
