They are working on a way to fix broken objects with #3DPrinting when you are missing one or more of the pieces
If you make a library of objects then you can go into the library to find the object you have that is broken and missing a piece You can then slice out the part you need from the 3D model in the library and print it then glue or epoxy it back together to make it whole again

They are also working on AI that can extrapolate what the whole 3D object would have looked like if it had not been previously scanned into the library
So essentually any object could be mended back to whole
