@dormouse most people are a bit like NPCs (non-player characters) from a video game. I'm a gamer, I notice all the time that people aren't too smart or even good at what they're doing in the game. But it's not their fault, you know? They were told over and over again by society that they should act that way. Mostly the games I play are stuff like Super Mario but I've played stuff like Half-Life before and I had fun. But mostly the people in those games are not super creative/smart like us.

@b_chocolatey @dormouse I mean most people run on autopilot a lot of the time is all I'm saying, you know, people have their scripts I guess you could say, like a computer program or you're on tv and you have a role, socially I mean like you have a role you play, and a lot of people don't really seem to notice or pick up on that a lot of the time in my experience so it's one of those things you have to keep in mind day to day because otherwise you can kind of turn into a little bit of a "robot"

@petergriffinkinnie @dormouse@mas.to the “not sure” reply was because I thought it was ironic that you are describing others as robotic, and at the same time admitting you are a gamer. A certain type of reply guy likes to mock gamers as themselves being unthinking losers - wasn’t sure if you were trolling

@b_chocolatey @dormouse No I am definitely a gamer. My steam account has probably dozens of games in it, I would have to count but you get the idea. I have been described as a "nerd" before, I know who Sid Meier is and that he is *not* the weiner guy, I am a gamer through and through
