what if we just fixed tax so big corporations actually paid income tax, closed the dumbass loopholes for the rich, and then linked income tax rates to wealth, with no cap

i feel like thisd help reduce inequality because once your wealth reached a certain point itd be mighty hard to get more because your incomes gonna be taxed to all hell

@pie it would reduce inequality but no one actually wants equality, they just want to fight for equality. those who seek equality perceive inequality. The hippies couldn’t fix it, and they proved they couldn’t. What can a bunch of texting disembodied web-life’s do?

@binsrc why do you say no one wants equality? i would say the people against equality are largely thr ones that would be negatively impacted, and those for are largely people who would be positively impacted, which makes sense, everyone looks out for their own interests first

there are far more people who would be positively impacted than negatively though, and they should be fighting until the balance is equal on both sides

the problem is people who feel like they cant do anything, their votes don't matter, nothing will change so why bother trying

theyre the ones who ensure the status quo and fuck it all up for the rest of us

@pie oh but I agree except that the fight is largely lip service, when the scale over balances the fight continues like a pendulum and people are selfish and fight to benefit themselves and I think all of that is perfectly natural and is coherent with some model of a dynamic system.
