The folk custom year so far in West Cornwall. Traditions endure and change with each generation down here, some seemingly more precarious than others. Wassailing, The May Horns, The Feast of St.John’s Eve & Crying the Neck are always enjoyable. A few other events I missed but Montol on midwinter will be the one most in Penzance will be looking forward for. There’s many more customs about of which I will one day I will also document. #folklore #cornwall

#niceness vs #kindness:

Niceness is the set of rules us white people established and force on everyone else, allowing us to punish anyone not seen as "nice" (as in, not playing by our shitty rules).

Kindness is giving a damn about other people and acting accordingly; kindness is sometimes speaking out but also sometimes shutting up. Kindness does not force others to submit to a set of arbitrary rules that favor white people.
