My #introduction post:
Hello! I am Kay.
Lover of #tea and #books, especially #mysteries. I used to own a tea/coffee bookstore - USED TO being the operative phrase - thanks, pandemic! I now sell books online with my daughter at Austen House Books. Check us out!
I also believe in #science, #equality is EVERYONE, #blacklivesmatter; autonomy is for all, especially women and I wholeheartedly espouse that curiosity is one of the most important traits to possess. Also #chocolate is lifeblood!

One of my many shots of life in #Glasgow, #Scotland. I’ve started introducing people into my work, something I previously hated doing as I felt strangers walking into my shot spoiled the look I was going for when shooting buildings and #architecture.

I headed out early this morning & managed to photograph this stunning bird. It's a Wood Duck, an American species which shouldn't be here in the UK. This individual likely escaped or was released from captivity.

The enchanting C19th gunpowder works of Kennal Vale. One of Cornwall's post-industrial heritage sites, this gunpowder works was in operation from
1810-1910 and had more than its fare share of incidents during its time. The death of John Martin in 1841 is one of the most notorious accidents recorded there.
The explosion was so tremendous that John’s head was found a quarter of a mile away from the works. Local folklore suggests that a visit after dark might not be in your best interest. #cornwall

I migrated to Mastodon from the birdsite.

I have nothing to sell and no album of amazing photographs to wow you with. I have nothing to promote and I'm not stylish, co-ordinated or living a well-curated life. I am not an expert on anything and there are few topics that would benefit from my insight.

All I do is share snippets of my very ordinary life in Lancashire, UK and boost content that I find wonderful, funny or of use. Thanks for the follow. 🙂
